ECB Guidelines Update

28 May 2020

Update on potential Net usage

Trust this message finds you and all well.

As you may be aware the ECB in conjunction with Government directives has given the go-ahead for limited use of Practice Facilities

Details of the directives can be found at following links

As a result of these guidance's the committee met on Monday to discuss the possibility of opening the Nets for practice purposes and discuss how we may be able to comply with the directives.

The meeting was I feel very constructive and despite the challenges of strict compliance we feel that a procedure can be set up.  With regret however more time is required to meet the Governments requirements and also get the nets in fit condition for use.

With this in mind we are now working on a booking system and checking convenient times to commence use. This will involve strict adherence to social distance guidelines in addition to the availability of volunteer GMC members who must be in attendance during sessions.

We feel that it will be a minimum of two further weeks to meet our objectives and we shall update further at that time.

Please note presently whilst we resolve some issues around junior players Nets will only be available to persons over 18 and the sessions will be solely for Members who have paid their Membership for this year.

We are updating our website to facilitate online payments and we shall provide details of this upgrade in our next communication.

Meantime thank you for your patience during this period, we look forward to welcoming you back in due course.

Stay safe,

Colin Richardson
